I suddenly realized, a year late, that I probably should've included the runner-ups rather than just the winner getting a comic. So I, uh, decided to throw this together. The runner-ups were Starlightlovesya123 and TAILS-FAN1.

Congratulations to Morggehan for winning the Brawl Snapshot Comics Caption Contest! Dozens of ideas were submitted, and his (oddly the first one submitted) prevailed!
Since no one was voting in the comments, I made a separate journal entry where people could vote instead, but I since removed it to get my first journal entry back on my profile page. Eh.

Hello and welcome to the comic’s first (and hopefully last
) Caption Contest!
It’s simple: post in the comments some dialogue for Lucas and Ness (or just one of them) and the other users will vote for the best or funniest quotes. The winner will have their caption be used for Comic #76 and will be given one month Premium Membership (or, if you don’t want that, an equivalent amount in coins).
In this picture: Lucas is spazzing out, Ness is probably saying something sarcastic.
Caption rules:
1. You may post as many captions as you want, as frequently as you want. No limits.
2. You can have either Lucas or Ness speak first in your caption. If in your caption Ness speaks first and you win, the snapshot will be flipped to accommodate it.
3. Please avoid complete stupidity, and post captions will correct spelling and grammar.
4. Try to avoid swearing, at least.
How does voting work?
You get two votes every 24 hours (GMT +0:00). You cannot vote for yourself. Since you get two votes per 24 hours, this means you can either vote two different captions up one point each, or you can vote a single caption up two points. Unlike how some places do this, there are no negative votes. You cannot vote anyone down, only up.
Miscellaneous stuff:
1. I have a vote too. My vote is worth an arbitrary amount, depending on how much I like the caption in question. Don’t like that? Too bad. I had to pay real money for the Premium Membership stuff, so the winner better be something I like.
I'm fair though, don't worry.
2. I reserve the right to veto any caption I don’t want, no matter how many votes it gets.
3. I reserve the right to change my mind about anything at any time.
Due Date: April 2, 2011.
